Changing DNS on NameCheap to Point to Netlify

Here’s how to change your DNS name servers on NameCheap to point to those on Netlify.

But First …

Step by Step

Login to NameCheap.

Click on Dashboard.

Locate your domain in the Domain List.

Click on Manage on the right.

Scroll to Nameservers.

Change to Custom DNS.

Paste in the name servers from Netlify. It is easiest to just click the plus to get four of them and increment the numbers so they are 1–4.

dns3.p07.nsone.net
dns4.p07.nsone.net

Click the green check to save.

Keep checking your DNS name server records.

It might take up to 24 hours for the DNS servers all over the Internet to update (propagate).
